Virginia Clean Cities welcomes Tarah Kesterson to the team! As of February 2025, Tarah Kesterson, based in Bristol, has joined VCC to become the Clean Communities and Economic Development Director for Southwest Virginia. She will be working on clean transportation programs west of the Roanoke area.
As a native of Raven, Virginia, Tarah graduated from Emory & Henry College (now Emory & Henry University), and has a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications. Before joining VCC, Tarah was the public relations manager for the Virginia Department of Energy. Among her many accomplishments, Tarah was employed for a decade in a local television news at the NBC affiliate for Bristol, WCYB, before her career with the Commonwealth.
