JMU Ridable State EV Charger Contracts (five vendors)
These contracts allow other public universities, state agencies and local governments to purchase electric vehicle charging equipment through the rideable (or cooperative) contracts. Both Level 2 charging and direct current fast charging (DCFC) options are available in the contracts. Several of the vendors on contract are either small businesses or minority-owned.

Propane Vehicle Conversions and Fuel, and Renewable Propane
A contract at James Madison University provides state and local vehicle fleets in the Commonwealth of Virginia with new pricing on propane autogas vehicle conversion equipment, in addition to access to renewable propane autogas. Sourcewell

Blue Whale EV offers public-sector EV charging procurement options through Sourcewell Contract 021825-BWL and the Arlington County Energy Services Contract, a bridgeable cooperative agreement for renewable energy projects including EV infrastructure and installation. These contract vehicles help government, education, fleet, and public agencies streamline access to EV chargers, turnkey installation, electrical make-ready, permitting, maintenance, software, and warranty support.

Commercial Clean Vehicle Credit

Beginning January 1, 2023, as part of the IRS’s Clean Vehicle Tax Credits, the IRC Section 45W tax credit for commercial clean vehicles will provide 30% of the vehicle cost for heavy-duty zero-emission vehicles (such as electric or hydrogen). Heavy-duty vehicles can qualify for up to $40,000 but credits are limited to the incremental cost of the vehicle compared to its gasoline or diesel counterpart.
