The Virginia Department of Energy is preparing to launch Virginia Energy Connect – a new, user-friendly hub designed to simplify access to energy efficiency and clean energy incentives for Virginia residents and contractors.
Alongside the launch, Virginia Energy is introducing the Energy Ambassador program, a free, on-demand training initiative starting this summer. This program will equip community members and advocates with the tools to:
- Understand and share key information about Virginia Energy Connect,
- Navigate the upcoming website, and
- Help others access available energy incentives.
Please note: The Energy Ambassador training is voluntary and unpaid. However, completing the training will prepare you for the full program launch. Later this year, Virginia Energy expects to offer stipends to trained participants affiliated with 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations (Program details are still being finalized).
