NAFA’s 100 Best Fleets Awards: A Victory for Virginia Fleets!

May 2, 2025

Congratulations to all the winners in NAFA’s recently announced 100 Best Fleets Awards! These awards recognize peak performance in public and commercial fleet operations throughout North, South, and Central America. This year, the 100 fleets were crowned at NAFA’s 2025 Institute & Expo in Long Beach, California—the industry’s largest gathering of fleet and transportation professionals.

To highlight a few local wins, the City of Lynchburg took home the number five spot, ranking highest public fleet amongst all Virginia municipalities. Close behind, the City of Chesapeake ranked ninth, Hanover County came in 66th, the City of Roanoke placed 76th, and Chesterfield County appeared in 88th. Additionally, out of the three individual awards given, Roanoke-native, Roger Davis, won Fleet Technician of the Year. The awards are not over yet, because three more Virginia municipalities were recognized as honorable mentions: the City of Fairfax, the City of Richmond, and Prince William County.

Virginia Clean Cities would love to give a huge congratulations to these fleets and individuals who took part in making them happen!
