Last month, Virginia Clean Cities Executive Director Alleyn Harned and Clean Communities and Economic Development Director Graham Sheridan went to Virginia Beach to attend the ribbon cutting for Electrified Marina’s new showroom. This is the world’s first electric-only boat dealership!
Making the trip in a state EV led to further electric rides – on the water. Electrifed Marina deals Vision Marine, Flux Marine, Taiga Motors, ePropulsion, ZeroJet, and Volare Boats. The range includes jet skis, small craft, outboard motors, and other boating technologies. The Norfolk Tesla dealership provided rides from the showroom to the marina and back in Model X, Y, and CyberTrucks.
Riding on the boats is an amazing experience – boating with almost no noise. Zipping along Little Neck Creek we were amazed at the speed and silence. We were also lucky with perfect weather!
The ribbon cutting itself was a short but emotional ceremony, with owner Erick Pinzon sharing stories of entrepreneurial risk and dedication to a mission.
