
Topsoe, a Danish leading global provider of advanced technology and innovative solutions in the energy transition movement, has big plans brewing in Chesterfield County, Virginia.
In 2015, Topsoe purchased a 57-acre plot at Meadowville Technology Park where 43 of those acres are being utilized to create a major manufacturing facility. This $400 million-dollar, two year project spanning 300,000 square feet will host “electrolyzer” cells for the synthesis of clean hydrogen fuel. The solid oxide electrolyzer cells utilize electricity in order to create this clean hydrogen fuel. The Swiss automation company ABB and domestic firm Fluor aided in the designs for this building.
