Apply now for the two new Energy to Communities (E2C) Peer-Learning Cohorts!
E2C’s peer-learning cohorts are provided by the U.S. Department of Energy to convene local and regional governments, Tribes, and municipal and cooperative utilities from across the country to spend six months learning from energy experts—and each other—about best practices, strategies and tools for approaching a specific energy topic.
The topics in this round are:
- Navigating Load Growth: This cohort will cover key issues and considerations associated with new and emerging demands on the electrical grid. Workshops will cover topics such as stakeholder priorities, strategies to meet energy requirements, infrastructure needs, and opportunities to accelerate siting and construction.
- Engaging With Utilities: This cohort will prepare participants to engage and partner with their electric utilities by building a foundational knowledge of the utility industry. Participants will explore innovative opportunities for collaboration and understand the basics of how utilities are regulated, their core functions and business models, and policies.
