EValuateVA has updated its public dashboard with the latest information on electric vehicle adoption and charging in Virginia. In 2022, VCC helped to create the dashboard, in partnership with Atlas Public Policy. Check out the updated figures here: EValuateVA — Atlas Public Policy.
Notably, the number of EVs on the road has surpassed 130,000, clocking in at 134,486. This number includes 102,049 registered Battery Electric Vehicles and 32,437 Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles. Additionally, since 2024, the number of charging ports across the state have risen to well above 5,000. This is a considerable increase over the last reported value for this metric which stood just below 5,000 charging ports. Ultimately, these data show a gradual trend upward for EV adoption and dissemination onto Virginia roadways. Keep an eye out for future updates!
