Powering the EV Workforce of Tomorrow

You’re invited for a first-of-its-kind review of curriculum designed to certify students to troubleshoot Electric Vehicle Charging stations. This is a great add-on to existing electrical courses and will give your students another skill they can use for future employment opportunities.

This curriculum will be presented at a lunch meeting held at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center in Abingdon on March 25th from 11:30 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. This curriculum will be made available to attendees following the meeting to use within their classrooms.

This event highlights an innovative project funded by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy under the Vehicle Technologies Program, focused on building the talent pipeline needed to support electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) installation, maintenance, and repair.

Working with community colleges, career and technical centers, and other workforce-focused institutions across the country, this initiative helps develop industry-aligned curriculum and provides students with in-demand, real-world skills for careers in the rapidly growing clean transportation economy.
