Charging Smart Webinar: Accelerating EV Infrastructure Development in Northern Virginia

Please join the Virginia Clean Cities and the Northern Virginia Regional Commission (NVRC) for a webinar on September 10, 2025, from 12:00pm to 1:00pm EST. The webinar will introduce the structure and functions of the “Charging Smart” program – a no-cost technical assistance program that can help local governments accelerate applications of electric vehicle (EV) charging. Charging Smart is modeled after the SolSmart program which helped propel Northern Virginia’s solar renaissance. This webinar will provide insight into Charging Smart’s past successful applications in other local governments across the United States.

Speaker Bio: Alleyn Harned is the Executive Director of Virginia Clean Cities. With VCC, Akketb leads the coalition’s collaborative effort to assist stakeholders and the Commonwealth in programs to improve air quality, and increase American energy security and economic opportunity through the increased use of alternative fuels and vehicles.
